.... just another inch!!

or 9 should that be??

Yes they're back! the theme for November inchies swaps was wintertime/christmas time and here's my offering.

I have recently been introduced to Moo cards and miniature atc's, so when I've finished some I'll blog those too....

I don't know where this year has gone! it doesn't seem possible that its nearly Christmas again - and yet again, I haven't started my cards yet which means a mad rush and putting the finishing touches to the family ones on Christmas Eve!! lolxx

How Bizarre!!

I love art deco and especially Clarice Cliffe. The colours, the patterns, just so lovely...... so when posed with what theme to choose for a 4cm2 challenge what else??? must say it did start the "what's the difference between art deco and art nouveau?" debate.
So, here are my attempts. Each square is based on a Clarice Cliffe Bizzare pattern copied from one of my books - well, I say copied, shall we say with my drawing abilities, lightly based!! lolxx TFL

..and now for something completely different!!

In my intro I said that I like to try most crafts, so here are a few of my first attempts at scrapping. I must admit to being overwhelmed by the size - I never quite seem to get it right. I have met some lovely scrapping buddies thro' my attendance of the Papermaze crops - although I will say that, apart from my first visit, I have never finished a page!! back me up girlies! lolxx
If you knew my Sian you'd know what a tomboy she is! so a page for the shoes was a must, as well as journalling the purchasing of them, which was a real laugh! poor ol' Sian!!
My Josh is the one with the ball in the two action shots.
And last but not least my precious Ty!

Charming.....

I enjoy forum challenges, making me think outside my usual comfort zone and trying something different. A recent challenge was to make some charms - having never attempted this before it took several attempts before anything looked even remotely passable! There are beads threated onto the wire which isn't that clear in the picture - I must say that, not normally a patient person!, they took ages and would often flick off the end getting buried in the depths of the kitchen!! I was definately going to be the winner in this instance tho!! lol

Watchmakers Tins

A forum friend recently obtained some little watchmakers tins, courtesy of Katy's Corner she then organised a swap to send the altered little tins to a swap buddy. Here is my attempt. I'm afraid that the photography isn't that good, but, I leave that sort of thing to other members of the family - as you can see here, My Look at Nature.

Inchies

Has anyone else been bitten by these little works of art? they are so addictive... this is one of the sets I made for a recent swap...

I've designed a little grid on a 12x12 piece of cardstock to display the ones that I receive - every single one of them different, although still following the same theme...they certainly pose a few questions from my friends....

17 already?

Last Sunday my daughter, Sian, turned 17! where does time go? I decided to make her an altered tin and for each "tag" to contain things that related to her... it took some doing - especially since the ink I'd distressed the tin with didn't want to dry on the paint for days!! but, we got there in the end. I was pleased with the finished result and so was she! You always think things get easier when they get older but with driving lessons looming I'm not so sure!!

Taken the plunge.....

So, after months of dithering, here it is.... my first blog entry!

Where my crafting is concerned I'm a bit of a nomad, not having any fixed style, techniques, colours or rules so be warned!! lol

As its nearly halloween here's an arch I made for a forum challenge along with a matching atc for the hostess.
