Tag you're it - week 43

Grief its Friday again, where on earth are the weeks going? and we're already at the end of January!! panic over again for another year with the tax return!! lol I always do the same every year and each year I say it will be the last one left to the last minute!! stilll...

This week over on Tag you're it we have a fantastic treat for you taggers! Michele from Purple Onion Stamps has joined us for the week. She has written us a bio and made a gorgeous tag. She has also kindly donated some gorgeous stamps to give away to one lucky tagger!

Aren't they lovely? wish I could enter! They are all from her new stamps collection so a very special treat indeed.

All you have to do is make a Purple Tag...... so go for it....have a go, if you've been lurking on the edges nows the time to take the plunge and join us.....The winner will be chosen by Michele and announced next week.

The DT have all made their purple tags using purple onion stamps.....

Here's mine:-

The base of the tag is the "postgram" stamp, this was stamped onto white card and then inked with distress inks and spritzed with cosmic glimmer mist. The Blossom set was then stamped using versafine in purple . the butterfly comes from the Brocante Set and was stamped direct to the tag and then again onto purple paper and embossed, a purple and crystal pin was used to hi-light the body"

I really hope that lots of you will be encouraged to join us this week and do pop over to Micheles Purple Onion site and see what tempts you...

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Michele for donating such great blog candy - xx

I'm looking forward to seeing what Purple creations you all come up with ....xx

Tag you're it Week 42 - NUMBERS!

Now, with the theme of the week set at "Numbers" I wonder who set that??? lolxx ever since a little girl numbers have intrigued me... so, I suppose its no surprise that I ended up in a "number" profession is it?

So, there's the challenge my dear bloggers and Tag you're it followers....create a tag, any colour, any shape but it must feature numbers....

Here's my offering:-

The background, on both pieces, is from a very old Basic Grey pad!, the numbers stamp is Mr Tim Holtz, and the man is a paperartsy mini. The mans face has been shaded using a pastel stick, his hair coloured with watercolour pencils and his shirt hi-lighted with white pen. White rub on letters and a bit of bling finish it off...wot no gold dauber? I hear you shout!! no, not this week!! lolxx

I hope that the Numbers theme tempts lots of you lovely crafters to pop on over to the tag you're it blog and join us this week. Our great DT have come up with some gorgeous pieces to inspire you.

Mini canvas...

At the start of December I challenged a few of my friends to alter a mini domino, we picked names out of the hat to see who we were swapping with and the date of swap was agreed as the Papermaze crop ..... it was great to see what everyone came up with, every domino was so different I should try and get a piccie of them all together (girls bring them along next crop!!).

At our Christmas meal, Karen set the next challenge and gave us all a mini canvas to alter. We were at the Papermaze crop yesterday and did our show and tell.

My canvas was prepped at the beginning of the month, but, I had forgotten all about it til Thursday night...then one disaster after another struck!! lolxx, but, in the end I was pleased with the results...

The colours aren't that clear on this piccie - the daylight is either ultra bright or very dark and the camera kept coming up with funny sayings!! roflxx you know what I'm like for my serious lack of photography skills, obviously my talented Sian has inherited this talent from her father!! the background, in the end, was cranberry dauber, with stream and misty over the top, a stamp was then stamped with stazon, but, the stazon was really weak, so I then decided to stamp onto patterned paperstock and then use Tim Holtz fragments over and then add these to the canvas, a couple of metal bits finished it off (oh and a swish of gold dauber around the edge!! can't forget that! lolxx)

Thanks for looking xx

Tag you're it - sugar candy kisses

Good morning can you believe that its FRIDAY again? where are the weeks going, its the middle of January already and my tax return is nearly finished!! lolxx

Its Annes turn to set the challenge this week over on Tag you're it and her theme is "sugar candy kisses" - now this is open to interpret as you wish....so it could be cupcakes, sweets or then again it could be pastels and pinstripes, whatever springs to mind after hearing the theme.

So here's my cupcake:-

The base is my fav tag shape at the mo!, which has been covered with distress inks and then stamped over in red and then white with a swirl from the Ornamentals plate by Purple Onion. The tag was then blitzed with glimmer mist. A thick ribbon made using several layers of basic grey and co-ordinations card stock was placed across the middle. The scallop circle is cut on the cricut and circled with pink gems, the cupcake is a snag 'em stamp and was coloured in using gel pens and hi-lighted with stickles and glossy accents.

Can't wait to see what our taggers come up with this week. If you've never joined in before why not make this week your first and come and join in the fun...

Tag you're it - week 40 - Stripes!

I'm a bit late this week - I've increased my work hours and didn't have the opportunity to photograph my tag in daylight! not that the daylight this week has been that good either, but, poor light has certainly put paid to my poor photographing skills!

Anyway, this week over on Tag you're it, the theme was set by the lovely and talented Kath, who chose Stripes...

So, here's my stripey tag...

The stripey paper is from a pack I picked up at Ally Pally a couple of visits back! the, the star is cut on the cricut and finished off with a button - the string is something I've acquired along the crafting path I follow!! lolxx

Pop on over to TYI and see the fab creations by the other DT members!

Also, we have some great news coming in a few weeks, so keep popping on back to see what its all about.

As always, TFL xx

Tag You're it.... week 39

Its Friday! I always forget which day of the week it is over Christmas and the New Year and with having time off from work all the days just roll into one....anyway, it is Friday! and Friday's are Tag You're It days....yeahhhh......the theme for this weeks tag is to use your new stash, either Santa's gifts or things you've recently bought for yourself ....

Here's my ""Happy New Year" tag

I cut a tag using one that came from Josh's new jeans as a template and then coloured it with chalk inks and stamped over it with a "Happy New Year" stamp, the edges were distressed and then overinked. The calender sheets and little tags are "new" stamps from purple onion (have you seen those stamps? if not, pop on over, Michelle is lovely and the service she provides is second to none!) The sheets were distressed using various inks, the December sheet was ruffled around the edges and the January one left pristine with a gold edging (well the dauber had to get a look in somewhere didn't it!! lolxx) The little tags were stamped onto distressed paper and then stamped using the Happy New Year stamp masked off as required.

Pop on over to TYI this week and take a look at the fab tags created by the DT and join in....we'd love to come and visit your blogs and see what you've created.
