Pink Elephant....

There's a new challenge blog in town...and its called "The Pink Elephant challenge" brill name hey? Its the first week and the challenge is to create something using pink, black and white....so, here's my attempt:-

The back ground paper is pink co-ordinations which was run thro' the cuttlebug with an embossing folder and then sanded, the edges were then distressed using scissors (cos I appear to have lost my Heidi Swapp pink circle distresser!!) then dabbed with black dauber....paper ribbon is black cardstock cut with the threaded water punch and hi lighted, more pink co-ordinations and then ribbon - the image is a Leanne Ellis stamp. A couple of flowers with a friendly plastic pink heart, beads and pins finish it off.

The covers are made from Eva papers, the paper ribbon is also Eva range, the flowers are cut on the cricut and are from two different sheets of paper from the Scarlett letter pack and the brad is one from the Granola collection. Stickles, Rubbons and a ribbon charm finish it off..

Tag Your it... week 44

Wow what a great response last week for the purple onion sponsored "purple tag" Thank you to everyone that joined in - its going to be a hard task for Michele to select her favorite....

This weeks challenge is a sketch drawn by the lovely and talented Kath-

So, taggers, do what you will - copy it direct, flip it, whatever you fancy - can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I don't do sketches very well, perhaps I think I need some more practise!

Here's my tag:-

The background was a sheet of brown basic grey paper which has pink flowers on it, I stamped a text stamp in black and then using a purple onion swirl stamp, stamped and heat embossed with gold. The edges of the tag were distressed and then swiped over with a brown chalk pad. The three squares are a piece of white card which was painted with stream dauber and then smudged over with cranberry - I then heat embossed the mosaic stampers anon stamp, placing Tim Holtz fragments over selected areas I cut them out and then adhered to tag, some string threaded with beads made the braid for the top and a printed sentiment finished it off.....

Pop on over to Tag you're it and see what my DT fellow members have created!

I've been snapping everything and getting on everyones nerves!! lolxx I've also taken some piccies of my rather untidy crafting area - where did all that stuff come from? I'm off to a crop this weekend so thats going to be my target for the day - crop "My Space....."......tflxx
