Last week of our Birthday Month

wow hasn't that gone quickly?

This week Ang has chosen the theme for our last Twinchie (2"x2") and she has chosen:-

Crowns

so, here is my crown twinchie:-

The base is another fabulous Tando Creative Twinchie, which has been distressed using two different inks and then spritzed with crafty notions white spray, then stamped over with a T!m stamp and then a new paperartsy mini stamp - the bird is made out of metal and is another new Paperartsy stamp, the body and crown was puffed out and filled and then when set painted with inka gold. The edges were doodled before Inka gold was used. A few gems finished off the piece.

We have another FAB sponsor this week, the lovely Caroline from Bubblyfunk has donated a fabulous range of goodies for this weeks lucky winner

- Bubblyfunk are also a named stockist for the Tando Creative range, Caroline also stocks a varied range of crafting goodies at a really good price, and delivery is always so prompt - so do pop along to her shop and treat yourself.

this weeks GD is Karen, Karen is new to blogging but is a long term crafter to do pop on over to her blog and see what she has created.

Pop on over to SCD this week and see what the others have created and if you fancy a chance of winning this weeks blog candy and the months stash all you have to do is create a 2"x2" piece of art solely for SCD and your name will go into the pot!

ATC's

Over at Chriss Rollins, Swap til you drop blog the theme this month was peeled paint....

and this is what I came up with....

The paint is by Claudine Hellmuth and the images were printed off the net, I'm really sorry but I can't remember where from! I think it might have been a link thro' Chriss's blog - the backgrounds were all overstamped with Tim's stamps....and black viva pearl pens drops in the corners.....the edges were all treated to the viva inka gold treatment!! lolxx

Also, Chriss and I are doing a 1-1 swap, so, look away Chriss, (these should be with you tomorrow tho')

The theme was "Marie Antoinette" and "Rock the Clock"

week 3 in our Birthday month

over at SCD - where on earth is this year going? although I will be glad to see the end of this week - its been one dramatic incident after another! believe me!!

So, onto week 3 of the Birthday Month over at SCD...and its the lovely Dawn's turn to choose the theme, and she's chosen:-

Paris

Dawn has been awol recently due to having moved house - but, she's back this week!

So, here's my piece:_

The base is another piece of Tando white board - this board is really hardy! believe me! I coated the piece with terra and then heated it till it bubbled, then when cool I painted it and then added perfect pearls spritzing it with water. The little Eiffel Tower, and the wording "Tower Eiffel" are from a stamp by Invoke, the lettering was stamped using little 99p stamps! all the stamped images were coated with glossy accents and edged using inka gold! The little flower and butterfly are charms which were lightly covered with the inka gold. All the edging around the twinchie was done using inka gold (can you see a pattern appearing here?? lolxx).
Right, I'll let you into a secret - I did intend to have an "appearance" each week of the previous weeks theme, so last week you saw a flower, but, it also had a butterfly, and this week, as well as the current theme I've also got a flower and butterfly - I created next weeks twinchie last night and I can't do all four!! so, thats it, game over!! roflxx

This week we have the very talented Artyjen with us, as you know, or may not know, she's the current "Craft Stamper of the year Stamper" so we're very priviledged to have her join us, she has also, very generously donated this weeks prize too...so Thank you Sioux xx

Don't forget it's my class day over at papermaze on Saturday - for those of you that are coming please don't wear anything nice this week, its very messy!! roflxx also, please bring your craft mats and blending tools if you have them...along with normal crop tools! see you then xx

Happy Birthday SCD

so, on the 15th May 2009 SCD was launched. The first challenge was Twinchies and the first theme was "Wings" - 18 players took part and off we went on the start of our challenge journey!

We've had a great 12 months - we've had some fab guest designers, now some sponsors and seen some fab artwork along the way. A very Big Thank you to everyone that has taken time out to join us.

This week, Hels Sheridan has joined us as Guest Designer, pop on over to SCD to see her lovely twinchie.

The theme for this week is:-

Flowers

Here is my Birthday Flowers Twinchie:-

The base is a gorgeous Tando Creative twinchie which has been coloured using distress inks. The flower has been created by using distress inks on grungepaper and then stamping out flowers by studio 490, the leaves are a martha stewart punch and the butterfly one of sir T!m's....bling and a bit of stickles finish off the piece.

This is what is on offer this week for our lucky winner...

its part of the very generous selection donated to us by this weeks sponsor, Tando Creative. The twinchies in the top left hand section of the picture is what I've used to create my twinchie this week.

To be in with a chance of winning, pop on over to SCD and take part in this weeks challenge - everyone has a chance to win and also go into the pot for the monthly stash prize - multiple challenge blog entries won't be taken into consideration tho!

Hope that you can join us during our "Birthday" week.

have a good weekend.

Birthday Month...

over at SCD this month. Can't believe that "my little baby" lol, is nearly a year old!

To celebrate we have some fab things lined up:-
Each week we have a special guest designer joining us and we will have weekly blog candy to give away too - each week everyone's name will be added to the "hat" and will be in with a chance of winning the monthly stash -which believe me, is well worth entering....(piccies to follow!) the only critieria is that you make themed pieces solely for SCD - multiple entries will not be eligible for the win!

So, without further ado whats the challenge and theme this month/week?

To celebrate our birthday month we are returning to:-

"Twinchies"

these were our very first challenge and we thought it would be apt to revisit them....a Twinchie is a 2"x2" piece of craft....

This week, to kick us off...the very talented Gez has chosen the theme of "Butterflies" - and the GD this week is the lovely Zoe, take a trip and visit her gorgeous blog - she has also written a bio which is on the SCD blog...Zoe has also kindly donated this weeks prize of a plate of Tanda stamps - which the winner can choose! so a massive Thank you to Zoe for donating those!

Here is my Butterfly Twinchie

background card and a piece of white paper were coloured using distress inks. The background was overstamped with a T!m Holtz stamp. Using the coloured paper I punched out butterfly's and adhered them to the base, gems were added to create a body. Little butterflies were stamped and hi-lighted using glossy accents. The word butterfly is computer generated and hi-lighted using glossy accents. The edges were doodles and hi-lighted with gold dauber.

Pop on over to the SCD blog and see what the other DT'ers have come up with. Can't wait to see all your Butterfly Twinchies.

Just to let you know that I won't be able to comment this weekend as I'm going to be enjoying my Christmas Present - a weekend at the "Artsycrafts" weekend! how lucky am I?

see you all Sunday night!!
