over on the Tando creative blog this week and today its my turn to share with you my ATC…

The base is a Tando ATC blank which I painted with Paperartsy fresco finish paint….I then added lines using an old store care and circles using my bottle lid, I added black lines to these elements to hi-light.  I then added an edging in peacoat and stencilled thro' some sequin waste with the same colour….using the left over paints on my mat I painted a couple of flower minis and added two tone greens to some mini leaves….I then stamped a saying, matted onto black card and attached all my elements to my ATC…. pop on over to the blog this week to see some other ATCs made by the DT,

Hope everyone is managing in this heat!

Paperartsy month 6

Month 6 already, where is the year going? July has been pretty hectic for us with holidays, birthdays and that very proud moment of Josh's graduation in Bristol - which is why I'm sat here at 7am on the last day for submission with my month 6 Darcy journal pages lol

Full details as ever over on the Paperartsy blog, here…. this month I decided to use my own colour schemes rather than follow the example to the best of my supplies! lol.  I love orange with blues and limes so decided to use that colour way.  Whilst looking for my grungepaste I came across some texture paste with glass beads and decided to use that in conjunction with my texture paste - I really like the result.

so, this month, I have pressed stencils into grunge paste rather than adding grunge thro' the stencils - rather mucky that stage!! lol

created a master board which I then ripped up and added to my pages.  Stencilled and doodled and generally had fun creating my pages.

Thank You Darcy for another fab set of pages for my journal, can't wait to see month 7 pages.

Paperartsy - art dolls

I really liked the first art doll created by Penny Nuttall over on the Paperartsy blog this week and so I've made one….

All details are over on the Paperartsy blog - once things have calmed down here this week (off to Bristol on Tuesday for Josh's graduation - where did those 3 years go?) I'm going to be having a go at the other dolls.

Brown and Black

…is the theme over on the Tando Creative Blog this week and its my turn to kick off the week with:-

The base is a large media board which I have painted with irish cream fresco paint, I then stamped with an Ellen Vargo stamp and potting soil archival ink, filling in the circles with mud splat fresco paint.  I then added various pencils/oil pastels to the background blending all together, added some washi tape and then crayons over the top.  I painted three tando mini flowers with mudsplat and irish cream adding a black line into each petal before adding crackle glaze and then a brown piece of bling.

The tando mini leaves were also given the same paint treatment and crackle glaze.

The urn was made out of clay using one of my new molds - painted with little black dress fresco paint…

July Challenge

As its Wednesday, and the first of the month - there is a new challenge over on the Tando Creative challenge blog - this time its my turn to start off the month.

This month the theme is:-

COME FLY WITH ME

this is my piece:-

using grunge paste I added texture to the base of a large media board using the bullseye mask.  Once dry, I added three butterflies from the grab bag and a bird from the birds and branches pack.  I then added a layer of paint and then added a further layer of darker paint blending it all in with a wet wipe.  Definition was added using a black pen and some treasure gold.

The challenge at Tando Creative is open to everyone so pop on over and perhaps you could be the winner of this months Tando goodies.
