Hi, and welcome to my little spot in blogland. Today is start of the August colour theme over on the Tando Creative blog. Doesn't seem possible that tomorrow is the 1st August and someone said the other day 21 weeks til Christmas!!!!
So, here is the colour scheme for August:-
and here is atc number 8/2017
The greyboard base had texture paste added using the Tando mini distressed diamonds stencil, some old dictionary paper was also adhered. Paperartsy paints in sherbet, lavender and bourganvillia were then added, along with some doodling and stencilling using the mini numbers stencil. Parts from the Whimsical birds set 2 were painted using the same colour ways and then doodled…
Hi, those that know me know that I don't scrapbook, but, there are times that you just have too…and the final selfie for Steve, Josh and I just before Josh went thro' to the departures lounge at Heathrow last Wednesday, on his way to Australia before starting work in japan is one of those occasions…
The thing is that I don't have any photo paper to print out my snap so that will follow….
I really enjoy working on this media and most of my Tando DT work will use one of the chipboard bases, in either size.
I made two boards for this week's post, both different in style….
Onto the bare board I applied grungepaste using the long flourish stencil. Red, orange and yellow acrylics were then added, a versa mark ink pad was rubbed along the raised areas and pushed down in some places before adding some embossing enamels. A whimsical bird was painted and doodled and added to the board.
This time the mini criss cross stencil was used with the grunge paste and acrylic paints added. A whimsical house was painted in the same colours and adhered to the board upon a bed of washi tape!!

So, here is ATC 7/2017
The base is a chipboard atc which had acrylic paint added…. the same colours were used to colour the butterfly and the heart was painted with the red paint and then a layer of crackle glaze added….white doodles and a bit of stamping with paint finished off this months ATC.

Hello, this week over on the Tando blog the DT are sharing the pieces that were shown on the recent Hochanda show which aired the 24th May.
I was sent the shadow frame set. This set consists of 5 different shapes with a solid base and then a larger frame and inner and a smaller frame and inner….. Its strange how the mind works Di designed the kits so that the smaller frame sat inside the larger frame and this would then create a lovely shelf for the minis (which were provided with the kits for Hochanda)… like this:-
hence why they are called shadow frames??
but, me being me used the rest the other way round, so that the larger frame was secured to the base and the smaller frame sat on top…
I think this is my favourite piece….
I added a wire thro the middle and threaded on beads before adding a butterfly
Using an inner I created:-
I was absolutely thrilled that all of my pieces were shown at sometime during the two shows…. to say I was shouting at the telly is an understatement !! lol

such lovely bright and clean colours for the start of spring…
In keeping with my theme of monthly ATC's for 2017 here is ATC 05/17
I added Paperartsy paints in Chartreuse, captain peacock, mermaid, vanilla and dusty teal to the chipboard base atc…. I then stencilled and stamped using the same paints…a piece of textures 1 and a large butterfly were also painted using the same colours - once dry some doodling with black and white pens was added… a rub on sentiment was then added along with some metal and bling.

Hello all… where is this year going? already more than half way thro' April - pretty scary hey….
Last month Di from Tando went onto the Craft channel Hochanda and presented two very successful Tando shows… she was a real TV natural and she demonstrated loads of great techniques during the shows… I was really excited as several of my tags and my fairy door where shown during the shows… boy, I was over the moon… here are the pieces:-
The bases were the long tags, a small and large mixed media board and the whimsical houses…
Hello, hope you're all having a good week….. today its my turn over on the Tando blog and this week the theme is embossing crystals…
Here is my finished piece:-
So, the base is a large media board - these boards are great and don't buckle or twist with heat…and believe me this board had loads of heat….I initially added some grunge paste thro' a stencil (yep it is under there somewhere!! lol), I then added some stampendous frantage crystals, there is blue, black, gold and aged spice all thrown at the board in various amounts and at different stages… be careful when heating such quantities as the board becomes very hot! also the enamel is also very hot so mind fingers! inking up an old text stamp with clear ink I then stamped into the hot enamel…. I then took three stars from the grab bag of stars and added aged spice and gold crystals…. the edges were given a touch of black paint to make them stand out… the sentiment is hand written.
Do pop over to the Tando blog, there have been some lovely projects this week…and more to come.
Hi, its colour week time again over on the Tando Creative blog - can you believe we are in April already - pretty scary how quick time is flying past this year.
So, the colour palette for April its:-
and here is ATC 4/2017:-
Taking a chipboard atc base I added texture paste thro' the mini stencil, criss cross, once dry I painted with white acrylic paint. I then added colours from the decoArt media fluid acrylics (all available on the Tando retail website) The same colours were used to add paint and texture to a flower from the flowers with stems grab bag and two leaves from the mini leave 1 plate. Some treasure gold was added to the edges along with a couple of chit chat stickers.
Do pop on over to the Tando Creative blog this week to see what the other DT members have created using the same colour palette.
Hello everyone!! its Anything goes week over on the Tando blog and I've added this project to the mix this week:-
The base is a heart from the heart grab bag. The base of the heart was painted with a dark pink and then a layer of crackle glaze added and allowed to dry overnight before adding another layer of paler pink - all Paperartsy products. Using the same colour palette I painted some mini butterflies and flowers and the harlequin piece from textures 1 pack. All were then doodled with black and white pens….. I've photographed this late in the day so the crackles are not showing up too well, but, they are there!! lol
The base tag was stencilled using a text stencil and texture paste once dry a range of DecoArt media fluid acrylics were added, I also used the paints to paint the rest of the elements in the kit. Once attached together I added some metal embellishments.
I am such a bad blogger and have neglected my little blog, but, mr mojo took a hike and its very slowly coming back, so I've decided to give it a helping hand by entering some challenges online… the first one is Paperartsy's week 2 - which is to use masks. Well, I'm the queen of masks, I use them all the time and make them from post its…
So, as I'd just made this birthday card for my Aunt I decided to add it to the challenge…
The base is a white 6" x 6" card base which I used post its to mask off the edges…. I then stamped Kay Carleys flower from EKC01… masking off one flower head, I stamped again…both heads were then masked and two tones of pink distress ink added, using the darker to add stencilling - text and sequins…. I then removed all the masks. Initially, I intended to colour in the flower heads but I liked the stark contrast of the white heads against the pink, so added some stickles and some gold ranger pearls and a stamped Happy Birthday finished it off.
Today its my turn to share my February colour ATC over on the Tando Creative blog.
The colour palette for February is:-
just right for the month of love hey?
So, here is number 2/2017….
The base is a Tando creative chipboard atc which had several colours of Paperartsy paint added, stencilling with the tando sequin waste stencil and loads of doodling completed the background. Two hearts from the wings and hearts set were painted and then given a coat of crackle glaze, a piece of text and some bling finished it all off…. all tando products available from their retail site.
This week over on the Tando Creative blog the theme is tags.
Tags are great to try out new paint colours and techniques and then can be used!! bonus lol
Here is my tag for this week:-
Tando do a great range of tags, but, unfortunately I don't have any, so my base is a Ranger tag which I added texture paste thro' a stencil….once dry some text paper was also added. Using DecoArt media line acrylic paints I added colour to the background. Some further stencilling and doodling finished off the base. An Owl and a flower, both minis, were then painted and doodled and added to the tag along with a stamped sentiment.
Pop on over to the Tando blog this week and see what other tags have been created. There is also an announcement concerning a new DT member,
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and here's to a great 2017.
Over on the Tando Creative blog the first week of each month is a colour theme….last year I decided to use the theme to make an ATC a month and at the end of 2016 I had a wonderful collection of ATC's. I already have a fantastic collection of ATC's spanning many years, when I first started crafting I belonged to loads of forums and each one had a different swap running each month, inches, twinchies, atc's, postcards, tags you name it there were swaps and I still have each and everyone of them. Over the years other mediums have taken over, but, last year I enjoyed the ATC's so much that I have decided to do them again!
So, here is our colour theme for January 2017:-
and here is my atc:-
The tando chipboard atc base was painted with black paint (all the paint used this month is the paperartsy fresco range), I then added merlin, concrete and ……. using the same colours I added some stencilling thro a piece of sequin waste and painted some circles using lid tops, text stamping was then added…. the butterfly, from the grab bag, was painted using the same colours. Doodling around the edges and a bit of distress stickles, rock candy, was added to the butterfly and there you have no 1/2017.
Pop on over to the Tando blog during the week to see what my dt team mates have come up with.
