Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.

Over on the Tando blog today is the start of the November colour theme week, therefore, time for ATC 11/17…

Here are this months colour palette:-

and ATC 11/2017

As always, the base is a chipboard Tando Creative ATC blank.  This was painted using PaperArtsy fresco acrylic paint, once dry stencilling, doodling and stamping was added.  The house, from the whimsical houses set 1, and the mini butterfly were painted using the same paints.

Do pop on over to the Tando creative blog this week for some more colour makes.

Lets get spooky

Hello, this week over on the Tando Creative blog the theme is Hallowe'en… so, I've used the last of my Tando Hallowe'en pieces and made two makes:-

The base of this one is one of the coffin lids from the pair of skeletons pack, and was painted using various acrylic paints.  A skull from the skull pack 3 and some mini elements from the mini mixed hallowe'en pack were also painted.  A selection of ephemera from the Tim Holtz Hallowe'en pack was also added.

Make 2:-

A mixed media board was my base for this second piece.  Once again it was painted using acrylic paint and then stamped using a very old Cherry Pie crackle stamp.. I did add some Paperartsy crackle glaze in some sections but it didn't work for some reason… a cobweb from the mini pack was painted and then some silver paint added along with a coating of glossy accents.  Tim Holtz ephemera pieces were then added to finish it all off.

Do pop on over to the Tando creative blog for more spooky makes.

another Birthday card….

Hello, with all this free time I'm now having I should be getting ahead on those Christmas cards, but, I have one more birthday ahead of me, and as my dear friend no longer looks at blogs or crafts I know that I'm safe to post here.

The papers are from an old 6x6 paper pack and were cut to size and inked with my faithful distress inks…. I then used the same distress ink thro' some sequin waste that I recycled from and old play box of my children… its been used for inks, sprays and paints and still going strong lol…. the flowers are a mixture of prima flowers and some from wild orchid crafts… a bit of bling and a stamped and hand cut banner was then added to the card to finish it off.

Stampotique challenge 284

So, with all this new found "me" time, I'm catching up with Birthday cards!!

This one was made for a special person and used the stampotique Cecil the cow stamp by Karen Hayselden

I stamped onto white cardstock and then masked before adding distress ink and stamping a text stamp over the top….once peeled off the image was coloured in using prismacolour pencils and then hi-lights added using glossy accents.

I'm entering this card into the Stampotique challenge.

Paperartsy - Glitter

Hello, I'm posting this on Sunday and the weather is totally gorgeous! its so warm, the sun is out and the sky is blue, how lovely is that for mid October??

Today I'm taking part in the fortnightly Paperartsy challenge and for this fortnight the theme is Glitter.

With Christmas fast approaching I've decided to get ahead with my Christmas cards, so, here is Christmas Card 2017 number 1!!

The stamps are Scrapcosy 08 and I've stamped the larger bauble then masked and stamped again.  I've coloured using prismacolours and then covered with distress stickles in rock candy, I then added platinum stickles - ok, might be cheats glitter, but, still glistens without the mess!! lol

Tando Creative - Same but Different week

Hi,

Over on the Tando Creative Blog we often have "same but different" weeks.  These are weeks when we are all sent the same product and we put our stamp on it… this time we were sent the shrine kit to play with.

which can be found here.

Here is my finished piece:-

I painted the bare pieces using a variety of acrylic paint… three birds from the whimsical birds 2 set were also painted using the same paint ways.  Once dry all pieces were stencilled and stamped using paint.  I then added a bird to the inside of the shrine so that he stood in the middle and then built the shrine around him.

A further bird was added to the front and some straw bedding (hessian) added inside for bedding.

I added some corrugated card for the roof and added a stamped roofing section… for a bit of fun I added a bird to the roof and crossed his legs!! lol

Do pop on over to the Tando creative blog this week and see what the rest of the DT have made with their shrines.

such a long time...

Hi, its been such a long time that I posted on my blog something that was make for me or for fun, for a long time everything is for DT's and as I work full time DT work has taken a lot of my crafting/me time, for that reason I decided to give up the Papermaze DT.  I have been on this DT for a long time and have made loads of different makes and taken classes and done a make and take for the last 4/5 christmas'.  So, with extra time on my hands I have been making some birthday cards and getting ahead of my Christmas card making…

Here is one of my recent makes:-

with more time on my hands I'm also looking to rejoin some online challenges….watch this space!!
